Akhilesh makes light of Amit Shah''s ''Mission 2019''
Former UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav today poked fun at BJP President Amit Shah, saying the opposition may well have to leave for Nepal if the party won its target of 350 plus seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

The Samajwadi Party leader was asked by reporters here about Shah's Mission 2019 a poll strategy on winning 350 seats or more in the next Parliamentary election.

"If he (Shah) is saying so, he must be right. If this is so, we (the opposition) should go on a foreign trip or go to Nepal ... We should leave UP," Yadav said.

He said the people of Uttar Pradesh and the rest of the country had seen through the BJP.

"They (BJP) did not do what they said, they do what they did not say. They did not fulfil their promises and people have understood this. What has the Centre done in the past three years? Nothing," he said.

Asked why despite his claims of development in the state the people of UP did not vote for the SP, he said, "The people are now happy with us. But this is a democratic system and they will have to wait for five years. They were misled and did not take note of our work. But they have now understood."

The BJP, which won 282 seats in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, is now eyeing a two-third majority in Parliament, party sources said yesterday.
