Israel saw 22% growth in tourists arrival from India in April
Israel witnessed over 22 per cent growth in arrival of Indian tourists during April this year by hosting 6,600 travellers from the sub-continent mainly due to increase in marketing budgets and a shift in the country's international marketing policy.

In 2016 April, the total number of Indian visitor arrivals in Israel was 5,429, according to data provided by Israel Tourism.

The overall tourist arrivals grew by 28.52 per cent in April as nearly 3,50,000 travellers visited Israel compared to 2,72,331 tourists in April 2016.

"When there is clear policy, we see results. Every month, we are witnessing exceptional statistics that illustrate the progress we are spearheading in the tourism industry and its tremendous contribution to the Israeli economy and workforce. This important and exciting milestone is part of a positive trend that has been taking place over the last half year or more," Israel Tourism Minister Yariv Levin said in a release issued here.
