Police head constable kills self
A police head constable today allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in Pusad city, police said.
"Constable Nagorao Tukaram Shinde (52) attached to the Vasant Nagar police station in Pusad of Yavatmal district took the extreme this afternoon while on duty", Yavatmal Superintendent of Police Meganathan Rajkumar told PTI.
Shinde was rushed to a government rural hospital but the doctors declared him brought dead, the officer said.
A case has been registered and investigations are on, he added.
